The following summarizes key actions and <br /> decisions: <br /> 1. WET adopted the 1995 -96 work program (LCOG will prepare in final printed form). <br /> After long dicussion, City and TNC agreed to work together to improve communications regarding <br /> the future of Willow Creek Natural Area relative to future development impacts. TNC raised the issue <br /> about viability of preserving sensitvie wetlans in teh larger urban context. City has asked LCOG to assist in <br /> these continuing discussions. <br /> 2. WET approved the addtion of Oregon youth Conservation Corps to the partnership (amendments to <br /> partnership statement and MOU on joint management can be made later. LCOG staff will work with Becky <br /> Ecland and John Ball to affect the changes. Also, LCOG will begin work with partners on the strategy for <br /> youth corps for 1996. Tracy Brown and Karn Tarnow are working on this assignment. <br /> 3. WET and Corps agreed to pursue addition ofCorps to the partnerhsip at a future meeting. (staff to <br /> work with Carie Fox to refine a proposal back to WET with conditions for excluding some Corps activities: <br /> e.g. 404 regulatory functions and permitting). <br /> 4. WET approved LCOG as the interim Wetland Coordinator with Steve Gordon designated (will work <br /> with BLM to make sure no conflict of interest arrises regarding lobbying on BLM issues before Congress). <br /> 5. WET will meet next on January 22, 1996 at BLM Dist Office on Chad Drive. <br /> AGenda items include: <br /> Communications Plan - report from subcommittee <br /> YCC strategy for 1996 <br /> OYCC report regarding matrix and MOU amendments <br /> Corps partnership discussion continued <br /> Wetland coordinator report (re BLM and lobbying) <br /> primer on land development issues in Willow Creek basin <br /> establishing priorities on special studies listed in work program <br /> discussion on refinements to CIP in annual work program <br /> Page 1 <br />
