The motion passed unanimously. <br /> IV. ADDITIONAL SITE NAMES FROM WETHEADS <br /> Mr. Gordon said there were two additional names being recommended. <br /> • Dragonfly Bend (Lee/Marvin Property) <br /> • See -sil Savannah (Hansen Property) <br /> In response to a question from Mr. Duckett regarding whether all of the other names had been approved, <br /> Mr. Gordon confirmed that they had. He noted that Wetheads had recommended approval of the two new <br /> names. <br /> Mr. Adams, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, moved to approve the additional site names. The <br /> motion passed unanimously. <br /> V. LETTER OF INTEREST FROM WILLAMETTE RESOURCES AND EDUCATIONAL <br /> NETWORK (WREN) <br /> Dennis Arendt provided information on WREN. He said the group was a non profit organization. He <br /> noted that the group had hired an environmental education specialist that was designing an educational <br /> program for the West Eugene Wetlands, which would be used in local schools to educate students on the <br /> importance of the wetlands in west Eugene. He noted that the group used many volunteers in various <br /> aspects of its activities. <br /> Mr. Arendt noted that WREN also wrote grants and used the funding for seed acquisition/propagation. <br /> Mr. Arendt said the group had worked successfully with Satre Associates and WGBS Architecture on <br /> designs for the wetland education center. He said it was fortunate that the center was close to schools so <br /> students could have easy access to the site <br /> Mr. Gordon said Wetheads would work with Mr. Arendt and come up with a recommendation for <br /> membership and return to the executive team. <br /> In response to a question from Mr. Adams regarding whether WREN was the first choice to handle the <br /> educational component of the wetland program, Ms. Johnston said WREN already reflected a <br /> collaborative effort to educate the region about the West Eugene Wetlands Program.
