DSL EVALUATION: The decision by the Director of DSL to approve the Plan will be guided by <br /> the specific requirements of ORS 196.681 as proposed in the attached order (Appendix B). <br /> { <br /> WATER QUALITY CERTIFICATION: Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will <br /> decide on water quality certification for each proposed development project as part of the alternative <br /> permitting procedure described in Appendix C of this notice. See the attached notice from DEQ for <br /> more detail. <br /> NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT: An Environmental Assessment (EA) will be <br /> prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. The EA will describe the <br /> beneficial and adverse effects which would result from approval of the Plan, including the preservation <br /> of wetlands designated for protection, and the filling of wetlands designated for development along <br /> with the offsetting beneficial effects of the compensatory mitigation to be required for those fills. <br /> { <br /> PUBLIC HEARING: Any person may request, in writing, within the comment period specified in this <br /> notice, that a public hearing be held to consider this application.
