F 0 j In the Matter of �. ,. �) v ORDEF A:IE- PROCLAMATION the CREATING McK1 NZT1j WATFR CONTROL DISTRICT ) McKENZIE WATER CO' ;TF;)L LIS'rRICT WHEREAS, on the 6th day of August, 1947 there wss filed with the County Clerk and presented to the County Court of the County of Lane, State of Oregon, a petition praying that certain lands within the County of Lane, State of Oregon, and within the bounddAries described in said petition be created into a water control district, to be known as the McKenzie Water Control District, under and pursuant to the provisions of that certain act of the legislative assembly of the State of Oregon passed at its regular session in the year 1947, entitled "An act to provide for the organization of water control district; defining the purposes and powers thereof; providing a saving clause; and declaring an emergency." and generally referred to as Chapter 289 of the 1947 Session Laws of said Legislative Assembly, and WHEREAS, said petition showed that the total number of acres of land within. the boundaries described therein was 19,000 acres, and that said petition had been signed by the owners of more than twenty per cent of the lands located within said bound- aries, to -wit: by the owners of 4387 acres, and V.PEIEAS, pursuant to said petition the Court entered an order setting the first hearing on said petition on the 17th day of September, 1947 at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. in the County Court Room in the County Court House in the City of Eugene, Lane S1 County, Oregon for the purpose of hearin,_, written or oral state- ments for or against the granting of said petition, for the creation of said district, or to the proposed boundaries for said district, and
