Oil &
Grease Median concentrations ranged from 0.6 to 4.3
mg /L (a sheen is usually visible at 2 mg/L and
industrial discharge limits are 10 mg /L).
Oil & Grease is perceived to be a problem by the
public.
Oil & Grease may be a significant source of
PAHs, and PAHs were detected at levels which
significantly exceed human consumption criteria.
Bacteria Criteria were exceeded at all stations during each
monitored storm event.
Pesticides/
Herbicides Less than one percent detection, however,
detection limits may not be low enough.
Pesticides have been found in sediments collected
from the Amazon Creek.
