BY CITY MANACFR
e• ; iii1P ¢ 13 ttL ( MAY 3 1993
Conies to
Shawn Boles
City Hall
777 Pearl
Eugene, OR, 97401 -
May 1, 1993
Dear Councilor Boles:
As residents of the South Hills neighborhood we are deeply
concerned about the possibility of logging on 46 acres of forested
land currently for sale by Coldwell Banker Realtors.
It is our express wish that the Council follow the PUD
development plan in the city code with respect to the eventual
development of this tract. We do not care to see the trees in the
neighborhood clearcut prior to the construction of planned units.
It will hurt property and scenic values as well as wildlife
habitat and water quality to have the nearby hills denuded over
such a large area.
Instead, we would like to see the Council, adhere to the
Environmental Resource policies in the Metro Area General Plan
that acknowledge priorities other than urban timber harvest.
Please act responsibly to preserve this asset which is so
vital to the livability of our unique neighborhood.
DISTRIBUTED TO:
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
