I never followed up with you after the last TC mtg. to get a memo <br /> from GregA to our Design Advisory Committee with the 3 TC recommendations. <br /> How about I draft something & OA it over for you to get Greg's signature? <br /> We've already relayed those recommendations orally to the DAC yesterday, <br /> but I'd like something in writing for the "record ". <br /> 2. In response to the recommendations, IDA & its landscape architect & staff <br /> have been poring over the site plan trying to rearrange the parking lot <br /> to save some trees but still have a workable configuration. I think we've <br /> landed on something that does save a couple of large walnuts & several of the <br /> better hazelnuts. My plan is to send the TC something in writing in a few <br /> weeks that shows how we have incorporated their input. In addition, Fred <br /> can report in person to them if he /they want. I do NOT plan for Don Lutes <br /> or I to come back with any kind of formal presentation. Hope you guys agree <br /> with that strategy. Holler at me if you don't. <br /> 3. As for actual implementation, we are moving on a track that, assuming <br /> IDA receives a loan commitment from the bank, IDA could begin construction <br /> by end of March /early April. With that in mind, we will be submitting an <br /> application to Jan soon for a permit to remove the trees in the Silva <br /> area. The tentative target is to remove them during the week of 3/23. <br /> The application will of course show those trees being removed, those being <br /> saved, and those new trees that will be planted. It will also show those <br /> trees that have already been planted as a result of Riverfront Parkway <br /> construction. Please let me know if there are any issues about timing or <br /> other formalities I should be aware of in this process. (I have a copy of <br /> your "Application for Permit to Remove Trees ".) <br /> 4. A last note - -Fred Lockhart has been superb to work with on this process. <br /> I want to thank you all & Vic for suggesting him to be the liaison.
