121-4 I . <br /> STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY TREE HAZARD REDUCTION POLICY <br /> The City shall provide maintenance for street R/W trees that are clearly a <br /> hazard to the public. This maintenance is limited to removal of dead or dying <br /> trees (as determined by the Urban Forester, or designee), broken limbs, or <br /> trimming limbs touching structures. <br /> The City shall prune limbs of street R/W trees that are obscuring traffic <br /> sign, signals, and public street lights. The City shall also raise limbs that <br /> do not meet the minimum height requirements over public streets and pedestrian <br /> ways. <br /> When half or more of the lower one foot of a tree is within the street R/W the <br /> tree will be considered a street R/W tree for hazard reduction maintenance. <br /> When a tree on private property is determined, (by the Urban Forester, or <br /> disignee) to be an immediate hazard to the public the City shall render the <br /> tree harmless. The cost of the work shall be charged to the property owner. <br />
