HAMMITT Bob
From: ANDERSEN Chris F
To: MEDLIN Johnny R; CHILDS Jan W
Cc: HAMMITT Bob; PLAMONDON Scott F
Subject: RE: Lane County .Re- adoption of Tree Ordinance for UT Area
Date: Thursday, August 15, 1996 6:30PM
I have sent a note to Linda Norris and we can roll her into the discussion when we are all back from camp.
I am hoping that things have cooled off a little around Short Mtn. and we can continue to deal with all of
the other issues in the world. Ever the optimist! Let us plan to regroup the first week in Sept. Chris
From: CHILDS Jan W
To: MEDLIN Johnny R
Cc: HAMMITT Bob; PLAMONDON Scott F; ANDERSEN Chris F
Subject: RE: Lane County .Re- adoption of Tree Ordinance for UT Area
Date: Wednesday, August 07, 1996 7:41 AM
That's Chris' call. I don't think things have changed since
our meeting at the PW 1st Floor Conference Room, where it was
agreed to move forward. At this point, it doesn't look like
any resolution of Short Mountain until sometime in the fall
(maybe September, but more likely later) and West Eugene
Wetlands Plan Amendments aren't going to elected officials
until October 21.
From: MEDLIN Johnny R
To: ANDERSEN Chris F; CHILDS Jan W
Cc: HAMMITT Bob; PLAMONDON Scott F
Subject: FW: Lane County .Re- adoption of Tree Ordinance for UT Area
Date: Wednesday, August 07, 1996 6:54AM
Hi Folks,
Roy sent me the below message and we'll work to get a meeting
set up to get the paperwork in order. I'm shooting for the
15th for that meeting.
My question now is this: Are we still on hold on moving
forward with this readoption process due to other concerns
with the County or can we move to schedule this with the
Board? Looking at the time line Roy is giving us I don't see
us getting this all the way through the Board until sometime
in late September at the earliest. (even considering the 134
days he mentions is a typo and I believe should really say 14
days).
Thanks
Johnny
From: BURNS Roy L
To: MEDLIN Johnny R
Subject: RE: Lane County .Re- adoption of Tree Ordinance for UT Area
Date: Tuesday, August 06, 1996 3:03PM
I was off on a vacation for two weeks and finally dug my way
out of EM and Telephone messages. It will be necessary to go
through the ordinance adoption process for us to establish the
tree cutting Ordinance. A staff report, ordinance and
findings in support of the ordinance must be prepared. The
ordinance process requires us to have a first reading and to
set a second reading and public hearing, no sooner than 134
days after the first reading of the ordinance.
