HAMMITT Bob
From: CHILDS Jan W
To: BURNS Roy L
Cc: HAMMITT Bob; MEDLIN Johnny R; PLAMONDON Scott F; ANDERSEN Chris F; COLE
John A
Subject: Lane County Readoption of Tree Ordinance for UT Area
Date: Wednesday, June 26, 1996 2:58PM
Since there wasn't a Metro Planning Directors meeting Monday, I'll use E -mail to report that I met with
Public Works staff regarding timing of Lane County readoption of the Tree Ordinance for the UT area.
They would like to see the readoption move forward as quickly as possible -- hopefully in August.
Since this will go directly back to the Board, and since there are no changes in the existing ordinance, I'm
hoping that's doable.
Please contact Johnny or Scott for any assistance you may need in putting together the packet for the
Board. For instance, they shared with me a list of the eleven applications received from 3/31/93 through
10/11/95 -- all of which were approved. Of these, 5 were for removal of 51 or more trees. That kind of
information might be comforting to the Board.
Page 1
