.r`1•A` ;,
UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
Monday June 12, 1995
MEMORANDUM
TO: Scott Plamodon, City of Eugene Forester
FROM: Mande May, University of Oregon Planning Office
RE: New trees on Agate Street
I know that you probably don't hear much about trees unless there
is a problem, so I wanted to compliment you on the new street tree
planting along Agate (assuming this was a city job). I'm always
pleased when I see trees used to their full advantage in both species
selection and placement. Planting street trees in something other
that straight rows where space permits and selecting species that
will grow to an appropriate scale for their surroundings are concepts
we need more examples of in Eugene. This planting seems a perfect
example of appropriate planting and will be a great asset to the City,
Washington Park and its neighborhood. Keep up the good work!
UNIVERSITY PLANNING OFFICE
1276 University of Oregon Eugene OR 97403 -1276 Telephone (503) 346 -5562
!m equal op; ort uutu. ajfLnurthx• atliou in >fitation corurnifld to cultural dixrxilu
and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
