We recently completed work on Adams Street.
Section C -5 of the Intragovermental Agreement on tree trimming activities, entered into by
EWEB and the City of Eugene, states that "When, during the course of performing maintenance
pruning, EWEB discovers trees with excessive decay or other severe problems which suggest the
tree poses a significant threat to life or property damage, such tree will be immediately reported
to the City for evaluation and possible removal "
EWEB has identified 25 trees on Adams Street between 3rd and 6th Streets that have excessive
decay or other problems that indicate these trees may pose a significant threat to life and/or
property. Attached to this letter is a more precise description of the location of these trees.
EWEB recognizes the importance of these trees to the Whiteaker neighborhood and the residents
who live on Adams Street, and is sensitive to the fact that any remedial action may have a
detrimental effect on the character of the neighborhood. EWEB would be interested in
discussing with you our participation in mitigating possible impacts to the neighborhood.
Please call me at 684 -4750, at your convenience, if you have any questions or would like to
discuss the issue further.
Sincerely,
&4(-CO f
Brad Edwards
Tree Trimming Coordinator
Attachment
cc: Johnny Medlin, City of Eugene Public Works/Maintenance
Attachment
