2. Celebration Tree Program. At a budget committee meeting this year f <br /> raised the idea of donation programs to fund more tree planting, as we <br /> have dwindling city resources. How about this idea: develop and promote <br /> a program to "sell" trees as gifts to commemorate birthdays, marriages, <br /> birth of a new child, honoring a lifetime, etc. Just as people bought <br /> bricks for the Hult, perhaps people could "buy" trees for streets and <br /> parks and other appropriate places. A gift card would be sent to the <br /> recipient, or ... for more $, maybe a tag on the tree as well? Anyway, <br /> perhaps you could give it some thought.
