We have considered the City's
proposal and what we have found it that these rules are not consistent with the more important
worry in our community, that is, afforable housing. In addition to this letter, I am also enclosing
letters from our membership.
Inquiries raised by members of our Association included how the City of Eugene has arranged
to monitor the Local Street Plan when maintenance problems with street trees have fallen on the
City of Eugene in the past.
It would appear from reading the set of proposed rules, that they have been structured in such
a way that the City wants the sole responsibility for street trees.
. ss
,. r is ou o • NI .
