Councilor Farr: <br /> One of the greatest concems of our community is affordable housing, both in defining what that <br /> means and how to achieve it. At the Dome Builders Association, we are committed to working <br /> hard at achieving both. <br /> As part of that plan, we have decided to work with City Officials as they open up the public <br /> comment period for administrative rules. I have enclosed a synopsis of those comments the <br /> Home Builder's members observed regarding the administrative rules for the Local Street Plan <br /> Ordinance and would like to forward future comments for your review. <br /> In the past, the view point shared among the public is that City Officials do not listen to these <br /> comments, and that the comment period is only a formality. If that is so, then something needs <br /> to change. I would like to believe this is not the case. <br /> As costs associated with the housing industry continue to increase through system development <br /> charges, assessments, and new permits, I would hope that you will take the time to hear our <br /> message. The Home Builders, as well as others, want a healthy environment.
