Intensification (as used in Willamette Greenway Permits beginning at EC 9.8800). <br /> Any additions that increase or expand the area or amount of an existing use, or the <br /> level of activity. Remodeling the exterior of a structure not excluded below is an <br /> intensification when it will substantially alter the appearance of the structure. <br /> Maintenance-and repair that is usual and necessary for the continuance of an existing <br /> use is not an intensification of use. Reasonable emergency procedures necessary for <br /> the safety or the protection of property are not an intensification of use. Residential <br /> use of lands within the Greenway includes the practices and activities customarily <br /> related to the use and enjoyment of one's home. Landscaping, construction of <br /> driveways, modification of existing structures or construction of facilities adjacent to <br /> the residence or placement of such subsidiary structures as are usual and necessary to <br /> such use and enjoyment shall not be considered an intensification. Seasonal increases <br /> in gravel operations shall not be considered an intensification of use. <br /> Interior Lot Line. Any lot or parcel line that is not a front lot line. (See Figure <br /> 9.0500 Lot Lines, Lot Frontage, Lot Width, Lot Depth.) <br /> Interior Yard Setback. An area of a lot that is adjacent to a property line that is not <br /> also a street lot line. The minimum depth of the area is as required by zoning <br /> standards. Interior yards include side and rear yards. (See Figure 9.0500 Front and <br /> Interior Yards.) <br /> Interpretive Center. A facility that is open to the public and constructed and used <br /> for the purpose of educating people about the local environment and cultural history. <br /> Interpretive Information Kiosk. A multiple faced sign constructed and used for the <br /> purpose of educating people about the local environment and cultural history. <br /> Jurisdictional Wetland. See wetland. <br /> Kennel. An establishment or premises on which 3 or more dogs over 6 months of <br /> age are kept or maintained, whether by owners of the dogs or by persons providing <br /> facilities and care, and whether or not for compensation. <br /> Lamp. Any source of artificial light, such as bulbs, tubes, globes, spotlights, lasers, <br /> etc. <br /> Land Division. Creation of legal lots or parcels through a partition or subdivision <br /> process. <br /> Lands Committed to Urban Use (as used in Willamette Greenway Permits <br /> beginning at EC 9.8800). Those properties that are inappropriate for non -urban uses <br /> due to economic, developmental, and/or locational factors. Economic, <br /> Ordinance - 22 <br />
