ON PLANTING DAY <br /> Planting Leader <br /> Leads the Planting Day effort, from welcoming the participants to <br /> helping with the final inspection of the finished planting <br /> Supervises (or has designee supervise) sign -in, name tags, refreshments, <br /> etc. at the meeting place <br /> Coordinates the Planting Teams <br /> Planting Team Leaders (designated before Planting Day) <br /> Meet at tree holding bed at 8 o'clock to pick up trees and tools and any <br /> last- minute instructions; trucks.then proceed to meeting site <br /> Oversee their team's planting (should any unforeseen situations arise, <br /> the team leader's decision is final) <br /> Neighbors and other Volunteers <br /> Be at meeting site at 9 o'clock, then proceed to Team's first planting <br /> sites <br /> Neighbors ensure that all vehicles are moved away from planting site <br /> NeighborWoods Coordinator <br /> Meets Planting Team leaders at 8 o'clock to distribute each team's trees <br /> and tools <br /> Provides technical assistance and trouble- shooting, as required <br /> Provides City truck, if needed, and tools <br /> AFTER PLANTING DAY <br /> Project Leader <br /> Along with Project Leader, sends thank you's to all residents and <br /> volunteers (from names /addresses on sign -up sheet) <br /> Monitors monthly the new trees, and may wish to participate in periodic <br /> City- sponsored workshops /tours on pruning, tree identification, etc. <br /> Neighbors <br /> It's up to you now! <br /> NeighborWoods Coordinator <br /> Maintains contact with Project Leader to ensure trees' upkeep meets City <br /> standards <br /> responsi.ngh <br /> Updated September 1992 <br />
