The construction <br /> contract will provide areas intended for planting with appropriate grade, <br /> cleanup, and backfill. <br /> Engineering transfers final tree plan to Urban Forester's office for <br /> implementation. Implementation cost per tree is transferred from the project <br /> budget to PWM. Implementation includes: <br /> Purchasing of trees of the highest quality to ensure compliance with <br /> Urban Forest Management Plan policy. <br /> Planting of trees through price agreement with vendor or by PWM staff <br /> after project construction is accepted including informing owners of <br /> schedules, resolving locations with owners, and calling for utility <br /> locates 48 hours in advance. <br /> Inspection of tree planting. <br /> Watering and pruning for a three year establishment period by use of <br /> vendor or PWM staff. <br /> Mailing of reminder notices to residents expected to provide watering. <br /> General tree maintenance. <br />
