TREE PLANTING <br /> When a tree has been removed by EWEB due to conflict with utility lines the <br /> following criteria will be used to determine if a replacement tree is to be <br /> planted. <br /> 1. If the removal was on an arterial street a replacement tree shall be <br /> planted by CITY with costs reimbursed by EWEB. Options for replacement <br /> trees shall be from a list by species and caliper which is developed and <br /> agreed on by EWEB and CITY. <br /> 2. The CITY will contact the abutting property owner on collector and local <br /> streets to determine if they wish a replacement tree and inform them of <br /> their options. If the abutting property owner does not wish a tree, <br /> none will be planted. The replacement tree shall be provided and <br /> planted by CITY with costs reimbursed by EWEB. <br /> 3. In a case where the tree needs to be removed for reasons in addition to <br /> conflict with utility lines the above costs may be prorated as agreed by <br /> EWEB and CITY staff on a case by case basis. <br /> 4.
