<br /> As a native Oregonian with 18 years of professional experience in Oregon and California, Sara is and expert at
<br /> recognizing and responding to the unique character of each site, its immediate surroundings and overall region. She has
<br /> worked on urban, suburban and rural sites, located in chaparral, sub - tropical, coastal and inland valley environments.
<br /> Sara's work in San Diego included commercial, institutional, light industrial, and large scale residential planned unit
<br /> developments. Recreation centers and hillside erosion control were areas of special focus. On the Northern California
<br /> coast, she was responsible for administering the Sea Ranch architectural design review committee, directing community
<br /> planning programs, and overseeing environmental management efforts. In her own professional practice, Sara's projects
<br /> included the design of numerous private residences, ongoing consultation with the Sea Ranch Association, and master
<br /> planning of Horicon High School and The Mendocino Botanical Gardens.
<br /> To every project, Sara brings an understanding of both client and community views in shaping landscapes. She values the
<br /> human role in the planning and design process, and incorporates individual opinions, needs and desires into her work.
<br /> At Satre Associates, Sara typically serves as the lead designer for site improvements and outdoor spaces. She works in
<br /> concert with the owner, architect and consultant team coordinating specific site design details and construction
<br /> requirements, including site layout, vehicular and pedestrian access, arrival, visibility, grading, paving, site fixtures, site
<br /> furniture, stormwater management, screening, signage, lighting, and security.
