<br /> Lead range conservationist for the Uintah Basin, Utah. Oversaw range program on private land that
<br /> included 1.8 million acres of complex land ownership patterns. Coordinated and cooperatively
<br /> planned complete and comprehensive land use plans for private landowners. Lead planner on Red
<br /> Creek Erosion Control Project that managed land resources for erosion control over a 30,000 -acre
<br /> watershed. Significance of the project included sedimentation reduction in Starvation Reservoir.
<br /> Implemented brush control programs, rangeland seeding projects, and fencing /livestock grazing
<br /> management. Coordinated ecological site descriptions and field reviews on BLM /SCS soil survey on
<br /> Diamond Mountain.

<br /> President of "A Horse of A Different Color, Inc." a horse blankets manufacturing company. Established
<br /> manufacturing corporation: (a) prepared comprehensive business and marketing plan, (b) product
<br /> development, (c) copyright and patent application, and (d) prepared annual reports. Duties also
<br /> included securing suppliers and vendors, managing the budget and implementing successful
<br /> funding strategy through venture capitalists, product marketing in top three national equine
<br /> magazines, and directing sales at major equine events. Conduced day -to- day operations of the
<br /> business.
<br /> 1996 -1999 Helper City Council Member, Helper City, Utah.
<br /> Elected to a four-year term on the basis of volunteer work with historic commission, arts council
<br /> development and economic development projects as director of countywide chamber of commerce.
<br /> 1994-1999 Chair of the Helper Historical Commission, Helper City, Utah.
<br /> Appointed by Helper City. Council. As chairperson, oversaw the five - member committee responsible
<br /> for the preservation of the historical integrity of Helper's Main Street. Applied for and received
<br /> various grants to fund research and promotion of Helper's historical resources, several restoration
<br /> projects, and photo base line library as support for future funding proposals and potential brochure
<br /> publication.

<br /> 1995 - 1997 President/Board of Trustees Chairperson, Castle Country Council for the Arts and Humanities, Carbon
<br /> and Emery Counties, Utah.
<br /> Founded the 501(c)3 corporation. As elected president and elected chair of the Board of Trustees,
<br /> oversaw the entire operation of the council including: (a) meeting preparation; (b) program
<br /> coordination; (c) budgeting; (d) grant writing; and (d) alternative fund raising activities through
<br /> private foundations, local government agencies, state and federal government agencies. Served as a
<br /> member of the Utah Arts Cour+cti Grant Approval Board, which met annually to fund various Utah
<br /> community arts programs and organizations. CCCAH received state recognition for various projects,
<br /> induding the Helper Phantom Gallery Project, Art Festival and live theater development. Prepared
<br /> bylaws that were recommended as a model for other similar organizations in the state of Utah.

<br /> Projects.
<br /> Developed and oversaw Helper Art Festival events for three years, including budgeting, fund raising,
<br /> regional promotion and publicittyy Coordinated all aspeci6 of the events and operations, including full
<br /> time paid entertainment schedules, food and art vendors. Supervised 30 volunteers and security
<br /> personnel Kept in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations regarding health and safety.

<br /> . Served as executive director of non-profit countywide chamber of commerce corporation.

<br /> staff, contracting for all events, and annual report preparation. Spearheaded annual events, including
<br /> annual rodeo, Carbon County Fair and International Days, softball and golf tournaments, parades,
<br /> and monthly chamber luncheons. Coordinated with various state government agencies to assist in
