Do you have sufficient funds in the flag account to do this without an additional grant? If so, go
ahead with the flag purchases as outlined.
If you're close to exhausting the available funds, please send me a report on the expenditures to date and the fund
balance, and we'll check with the fund advisor about recommending a renewal grant.
Thanks- -
Jeff
Jeff Anderson
Senior Program Officer
The Oregon Community Foundation
1221 SW Yamhill Street, Suite 100
Portland, OR 97205 -2108
Phone: 503 - 227 -6846
Fax: 503 - 274 -7771
Web: www.ocfl.org
From: ZUCKER Richard [ mailto: RICHARD.ZUCKER @ci.eugene.or.us]
Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 4:44 PM
To: Jeff Anderson
Cc: LindaR @ocfl.org; PETERSON Carrie A; HANSON Jeff P; FINNEY Kevin P
Subject: Veterans Flag Fund
I am requesting authorization to purchase two new flags to replace the ones that we currently have. (Our last request was
a little over two years ago, in September 2004.) The smaller flag (10' x 19') is in very bad condition and is not repairable.
The larger flag (15' x 25'), which we use from late spring to early fall, is in a little better condition but will need to be
replaced next year. We have received quotes from Rose City Flags & Flagpoles. (Please see the attachment above.)
The smaller flag is $386.60 and the larger is $647.19. (There is also a $15 shipping charge.) The total is $1,048.79.
Although the immediate need is for a 10' x 19' flag, it would be more efficient to purchase both flags now.
Please consider our request and write to me with your decision. Thank you.
From: HANSON Jeff P
Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 11:17 AM
To: ZUCKER Richard
Subject: FW: Flag Quote
4
