Project Monitoring and Evaluation:
Our projected outcome is to reduce the number of complaints to the EPD and to City
Management by 50 % in the first year of the program. Our goals will be revised and expanded
annually.
We intend to measure our results by documenting the number of complaints during the year
preceding program implementation. This information will be compared to annual cumulative
data gathered from quarterly reports compiled by our staff following program implementation.
The Safe Parks Coordinator will be responsible for documentation of the project and the creation
of a training manual sufficient to serve for replication.
Budget:
Please see attached budget sheets documenting program expenses.
Summary:
This project is expected to become a valuable civic model for reducing the cost of enforcement
and encouraging compassionate social service intervention. It is an excellent and achievable
option for reducing the number of complaints to be handled by EPD while simultaneously
meeting the needs of the community.
SVDP is both ready and capable of meeting the needs of city leaders, law enforcement, and the
community to make our beautiful and numerous parks safer, cleaner and more accessible places
for the entire population.
