Dawna Nickolauson <br />Utility Permits & Inspections <br />Dawna is the kind of person that, despite a very heavy workload, always makes time for people and <br />does it with a cheerful disposition. Don't know where to find supplies, ask Dawna; don't know how <br />to access a database, ask Dawna; need help on a special project, ask Dawna; have a co- worker down <br />and out, or celebrating a special occasion, Dawna will bake a cake and get a card. <br />According to co- workers in the Utility Permit and Inspection work unit, she's the resident expert in <br />GeoDart, WordPerfect and other computer applications, and she seems to sense when a co- worker <br />is having a computer problem because she's always there, ready to troubleshoot and get them back <br />on track. <br />She's also the person that her co- workers call when they're in the field and need critical <br />information. She might be busy but she very patiently responds to their request, researching their <br />problem, getting the information they need and ultimately enabling them to provide effective <br />customer service. One co- worker said that she's one of the nicest people he's every worked with. <br />Over the last year during the ongoing utility upgrade, Dawna still managed to find time to help out <br />her co- workers even while putting in a lot of overtime to maintain deadlines. She's a soft - spoken <br />person, quietly going about her daily activities, not looking for recognition or praise, but is a highly <br />valued and appreciated member of the team. <br />�A <br />
