Date: 05/04/93
From: Gil Wistar
To: Claude Banker
David Nuss
Bob Hammitt
Subject: Conversion of
city pools to liquid chlorine
CEFDGMW
- RIS1
CEWMCLB
- RIS1
CEFDDEN
- RISI
CEWMJRH
- RIS1
Claude, I just wanted to let you know that I have reviewed the RFP specs
prepared by your consultant, Alison Osinski, Ph.D. regarding the pools
conversion project. From a Fire Code and safety standpoint, I think you are
definitely on the right track, and I encourage you to proceed with the specifi-
cations and recommendations contained in her report. There is no question in my
mind that liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) is a much safer way than gas to
chlorinate the three city pools. Thanks for all your work to date on this proje
ct! -- Gil X5411
