POLICY 3: Prepare general plans for major park land and facilities <br />prior to development or renovation in order to promote project <br />coordination and to (retain) conserve and protect natural open <br />spaces where appropriate. <br />b. POLICY 7: Explore the use of a "systems development assessment" or <br />"local improvement district" as a possible way for interested <br />citizens or groups to help finance the acquisition an eve opment <br />of recreational facilities. <br />c. POLICY 8t Accept donations of land and structures when (only if) <br />they have active or passive recreational potential. unique open <br />space characteristics, can be maintained adequ�atet to a ccommodate <br />intended uses, or can be exchanged or Sold to benefit a public. — <br />d. EXISTING GOAL: Make available a wide range of parks, programs, and <br />facilities for citizens and visitors of various ages, cultural <br />backgrounds, abilities, interests, incomes, and partic patron <br />l evels. <br />b. NEW GOAL: Ensure safety for all park users. <br />C.
