Parks and Open Space Strategic Planning <br />Agenda Item Template <br />Title: <br />Priorities and Goal Setting <br />Description: <br />This would be an in depth discussion about determining, setting and communicating our <br />Divisional priorities and goals. <br />Why is this important? <br />This is important because it really sets the framework around how we operate, make <br />decisions, market our services, etc. Creating an atmosphere where every employee working <br />with us understands the goals and priorities will help decision making and empower <br />employees to assist us in moving towards the vision. Without this agreed up approach, we <br />run the risk of working against each other and competing for resources for our own work <br />unit's priorities. <br />Who's Involved: <br />Stakeholders- All POS <br />Decision Makers- Leadership Team, meaning all sup's and managers. <br />Resources: <br />I think the resources would include the Comprehensive Plan, but would also require meetings <br />with focus groups of employees and some of our outside partners. <br />Timeliness: <br />ASAP.
