Attachment A <br />Potential United Front Open Space Projects (staff brainstorm) <br />The following lists were generated by local staff in preparation for the United <br />Front project selection process. These ideas will be used to help generate the <br />proposed United Front package. The projects in italics have been included in the <br />FY 03 lobbying concept as presented on the attached map. The letters and <br />numbers in parenthesis refer to map location. <br />Springfield /Willamalane <br />• Continued appropriation for Mill Race restoration projects from Water <br />Resources Development ACT (WRDA. (2) <br />• Coburg Hills (viewshed protection). (H) <br />• Citywide package that includes development in floodplain, stormwater <br />integration, update of FEMA maps, protection of natural drainageways. (A) <br />• Jasper /Natron — integrated stormwater management plan. <br />• Community -scale park north of Jasper Road, between 42 and 58 th . ( B) <br />• Potato Hill Park (mountain gate area). (K) <br />• Willamette Heights — purchase for protection. (C) <br />• Middle Fork Path — from Dorris Ranch to Clearwater Park along north bank of <br />river. (1,2) <br />• Willamette Riverfront from Filbert Grove to 1 -5. Package would include <br />biological assessment /baseline study, restoration, integrated stormwater <br />management, parkland acquisition, infrastructure installation. (L) <br />• Oxbow park (McKenzie River) — a package that would include public access, <br />protection of wellfield, and water quality. (D) <br />• Open space /park that would connect the Guistina property at 32 ',d south to <br />the Millrace. (B) <br />• Cedar Creek — purchase of conservation easements along the creek corridor. <br />(E) <br />Eugene <br />• Acquisitions along the planned route of the ridgeline park system (west of <br />Spencer Butte). (6) <br />• Connections from the ridgeline trail system into the LCC basin. (4) <br />• Connections between the west Eugene wetlands and Fern Ridge Reservoir <br />along the Amazon Greenway. (7) <br />• Connections from the ridgeline trail system to the Eugene- Pacific Crest trail. <br />• Amazon headwaters. (5) <br />Lane County <br />• Acquisition of the Wildish property at the confluence of the Middle and Coasts <br />forks of the Willamette at Mt. Pisgah. (1,3) <br />
