• It supports six of the seven guiding principles developed for this study <br />(variety; scenic quality; habitat; rivers, waterways and wetlands; recreation <br />and education; and connectivity); <br />• There is a federal and state interest in providing connections to the pacific <br />crest to Eugene trail system and Fern Ridge Reservoir; <br />• This concept is supported by a number of adopted local Plans; <br />• It presents a concept that includes elements supported by the three United <br />Font partners (Eugene, Springfield, and Lane County); <br />• It includes a cooperative consensus on a united Springfield and Willamalane <br />approach; and <br />• Proposed acquisitions in these locations would likely have minimal impact to <br />the local developable land inventories. <br />
