by the Eugene Code, 1971, the Executive Director of the Public Works Department is hereby <br />authorized to: <br />2.1 Regulate and supervise the administration, acquisition, maintenance, use and <br />operation of areas designated as city parks, park lands, recreation areas, open space areas, <br />city buildings, and such other properties as may be assigned by the City Manager; <br />2.2 Protect city park and open space visitors, resources, facilities, and the <br />environment of City parks, open space, and recreation areas; <br />2.3 Adopt rules and regulations regarding the use of park and open space areas <br />and facilities, including the determination of appropriate activities, designating off -leash dog <br />areas, time of use, and access to areas and facilities, in the manner provided in EC Section <br />2.019; and <br />2.4 Perform such other duties designated in the Eugene Code, 1971, or assigned <br />by the City Manager. <br />3. The Executive Director ofthe Public Works Department is specifically authorized <br />to in tam delegate any of the duties or responsibilities delegated herein upon a determination that <br />it would be more efficient and in the public interest to do so. <br />4. Nothing containedherein shall affect the validity ofany actions takenorrules adopted <br />pursuant to the authority of Administrative Order No. 58- 92 -21, nor the authority delegated to the <br />Library, Recreation & Cultural Services Executive Director by Administrative Order No. 57 -95 -01 <br />of the City Manager, which are hereby <br />(. ra atified and affirmed. <br />Dated and effective this !
