Emergency public works
operations currently are focused in keeping streets passable.
As of 5 p.m. today Eugene Public Works had two tree crews in action, responding to
reports of about a dozen trees down at a number of locations around the city, including a tree
that fell on a house near Roosevelt Boulevard in west Eugene. No injuries were reported in that
incident. Other crews were using dump trucks and backhoes to clear debris from streets.
Power was temporarily lost at a traffic signal at Highway 99 and Prairie Road; however,
power was quickly restored at that location. Localized flooding incidents were reported during
the heaviest periods of rain this afternoon, but the water quickly subsided as the storm moved to
the east.
Eugene residents can call Eugene Public Works at 541-682-4800 to report public works
calls for service or online at www.eugene-or.gov/pw,
# # #

Public Works Administration ● City of Eugene ● 101 E.
