a <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-9405-F <br />of the <br />City Manager of the City of Eugene <br />Tree Preservation <br />Administrative Rule R-6305 <br />Pursuant to the authority of Sections 2.019(5). and .6.300 to 6.330 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, Temporary Tree Preservation Administrative Rule R-6.305, adopted by me on October <br />12, 1993 by Administrative Order No. 58-93-21, is hereby amended and adopted as a <br />permanent rule, to provide: <br />TREE PRESERVATION <br />ADMINISTRATIVE RULE R-6305 <br />R-6305-A <br />As used herein, the following words and phrases mean: <br />Clear cut. Any harvest unit that leaves fewer than 50 trees per acre that are <br />well distributed over the unit and that measure at least 11 inches DBH or that <br />measure less than 40 square feet of bawl area per acre. <br />Dwelling. A building, or portion thereof; occupied in whole or in part as a <br />home, residence, or sleeping place, either permanently or temporarily by one or more <br />families, but excluding group care facilities, hotels, motels and tourist courts. <br />Fell. To remove or sever a tree or the intentional use of any procedure the <br />natural result of which is to cause the death or substantial destruction of the tree. <br />Fell :does not in any context include those trimming and pruning standards as <br />..published by the National Arborists Association. <br />Log`'ng plan. A document describing the equipment to be used on site, the <br />access roads, grading, skid paths and any .other environmental change that will be <br />affected to permit logging, as well as mitigation efforts designed to protect from the <br />negative effects of the logging process all wetlands, riparian zones, habitat, <br />neighboring residences, and such other areas as the City Manager or designee <br />determines is appropriate. <br />Occupied parcel. Real property. comprising a single tax lot, upon which a <br />dwelling has been constructed, or for which a building permit has been issued for the <br />w ;:' construction.of adwelling. <br />\. <br />Administrative Rule R-6.305 - 1 <br />
