'/
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-01-16-F
of the
City Manager of the City of Eugene
n.ac1~ 5~a~-o~F
AMENDING PLAT CHECKING FEES; RATIFYING THE
UNAMENDED FEES AND REPEALING ADMIl~1ISTRATIVE
ORDER N0.58-98-12-F.
The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows:
A. Sections 2.020 and the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorize
the City Manager to determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services,
goods, use of municipal property, and licenses and permits.
B. In accordance with the procedures set forth therein, on July 5, 2001, Administrative
Order No. 58-01-16 was issued proposing a revision of the plat checking fees, as established by
Administrative Order No. 58-98-12-F, in order to comply with the City's new Land Use Code
provisions which become effective on August 1, 2001.
C. Notice of the proposed amendments was provided to the Mayor and City Councilors,
published in the Register Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the City on July 9, 2001,
~, and posted at two locations at City Hall on July 9, 2001, and made available for inspection by
interested persons at the offices of the City Planning and Development Department, Planning
Division, 99 West 10~' Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays).
D. The Notice provided that written comments could be submitted thereon for a period
of 15 days from the date of posting and publication. No comments were received within the time
or in the manner required by the Notice.
E. Based upon the above findings and the fmdings set out in Administrative Order No.
58-01-16, I find that the proposed revisions to the plat checking fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto
are consistent with applicable policies and directives of the City Council, are comparable to the fees
established in other jurisdictions for providing such services, are in compliance with the provisions
of Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and are necessary in order to comply with the Council's goal
of recovering the cost of providing the services from the beneficiaries of those services, and that the
unamended fees should be ratified and Administrative Order No. 58-98-12-F should be repealed.
On the basis of these findings, I order that:
1. The fees set forth in the schedule attached as Exhibit A hereto are hereby established
Administrative Order - 1
