'/ <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-01-16-F <br />of the <br />City Manager of the City of Eugene <br />n.ac1~ 5~a~-o~F <br />AMENDING PLAT CHECKING FEES; RATIFYING THE <br />UNAMENDED FEES AND REPEALING ADMIl~1ISTRATIVE <br />ORDER N0.58-98-12-F. <br />The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br />A. Sections 2.020 and the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorize <br />the City Manager to determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services, <br />goods, use of municipal property, and licenses and permits. <br />B. In accordance with the procedures set forth therein, on July 5, 2001, Administrative <br />Order No. 58-01-16 was issued proposing a revision of the plat checking fees, as established by <br />Administrative Order No. 58-98-12-F, in order to comply with the City's new Land Use Code <br />provisions which become effective on August 1, 2001. <br />C. Notice of the proposed amendments was provided to the Mayor and City Councilors, <br />published in the Register Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the City on July 9, 2001, <br />~, and posted at two locations at City Hall on July 9, 2001, and made available for inspection by <br />interested persons at the offices of the City Planning and Development Department, Planning <br />Division, 99 West 10~' Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to <br />5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). <br />D. The Notice provided that written comments could be submitted thereon for a period <br />of 15 days from the date of posting and publication. No comments were received within the time <br />or in the manner required by the Notice. <br />E. Based upon the above findings and the fmdings set out in Administrative Order No. <br />58-01-16, I find that the proposed revisions to the plat checking fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto <br />are consistent with applicable policies and directives of the City Council, are comparable to the fees <br />established in other jurisdictions for providing such services, are in compliance with the provisions <br />of Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and are necessary in order to comply with the Council's goal <br />of recovering the cost of providing the services from the beneficiaries of those services, and that the <br />unamended fees should be ratified and Administrative Order No. 58-98-12-F should be repealed. <br />On the basis of these findings, I order that: <br />1.
