The Special Investigations <br />Unit that seized this vehicle would like to co~vert it for use as <br />an undercover detective unit. Due to the fact that the vehicle <br />is very inexpensive for the Police Department to obtain and it <br />won't need any significant upgrades to be used as a UC <br />vehicle, we are requesting that it be added to the City Fleet. <br />Requested First fiscal year these N/A <br />"in service" 10/17/2008 dollars are requested <br />date: for: <br />Initial Purchase I$ 24,995 by original Fund: <br />Price: owner in 2005 <br />The only cost to the <br />Police Department is <br />approximately $2500 <br />in Forfeiture Fees <br />that will be taken out <br />of the P.D.'s Forfeited <br />Funds Account. <br />
