Volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at <br /> Patterson Sc ool, 1510 West 15'h Avenue, for a continental breakfast with guest speaker State <br /> Rep. Phil Bar hart. <br /> At 9:4 a.m., volunteers will depart for various clean-up sites along Amazon Creek. <br /> Children 8 an older will have the opportunity to stencil storm drains. Participants should wear <br /> weather-appr priate work clothes and bring gloves if possible. All other supplies will be <br /> provided. A I nch with prizes for the volunteers will be held at 12:15 p.m. at Patterson School. <br /> At 1 p.m., loc I wetlands expert Steve Gordon will lead a tour of the Lower Amazon wetland <br /> restoration pr ject in west Eugene. <br /> Amaz n Appreciation Day is sponsored by Eugene Stream Team and local radio <br /> stations KZE and KNRQ.
