Formerly Grant Park, this small neighborhood <br /> park on Gra t Street between West 9th Place and West 10th Avenue was last renovated in the <br /> early 1980s when it was renamed to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. <br /> The enovated playground sports a new play structure, swing set, sandbox, concrete <br /> wheelchair cress ramp from the sidewalk, and engineered wood chips, which will provide a <br /> safe, wheel hair accessible surface. Children can slide down a couple of different slides and <br /> swing on th brand new T-swing set as well as climb a rock climbing structure and find the <br /> dinosaur "f ssil" in its interior and send messages to their friends via talk tubes. According to <br /> the parks aintenance staff that have been working on the project, neighborhood children have <br /> been clam ring to start playing on the new structures as the project nears completion.
