Last <br /> y Tar, more than 2 0 community members participated in the program and grew everything from tomatoes and <br /> <br /> ,p ppers to herbs a d cut flowers. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, at the Parks and Open <br /> S ace Division offi eat 1820 Roosevelt Boulevard. Registration will continue during regular business hours <br /> M nday through F iday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until plots are filled. <br /> T e City of Eugen has six community gardens at the following locations: <br /> • Amazon G rden at 27th Avenue and High Street <br /> • ~ Mathews arden at 15th Avenue and Hayes Street <br /> • I Whiteaker arden at the end of North Polk Street <br /> • River Hous Garden at 301 North Adams Street <br /> Alton Bake Gardens on Day Island Road in Alton Baker Park <br /> • Skinner Ci Farm at the west end of Skinner Butte Park (north end of Washington Street) <br /> Last year, gardene s began enjoying new amenities such as wheelchair-accessible plots at Alton Baker and larger <br /> o Iganizational plo s at Skinner City Farm. Rent is $60 per year for a plot approximately 500 square feet in size. It <br /> in ludes access to ools, water, and a garden site manager. Eugene's Community Gardens Program has been <br /> o Bring residents t e opportunity to cultivate a plot of land since 1978.
