The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued regulations, pursuant <br /> to Congressional legislation, authorizing the imposition of a Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) <br /> for enplaning passengers at domestic airports. <br /> 2. Eugene Code § 2.441 establishes ratemaking procedures for the imposition of <br /> ~ any fee, charge or rental for the use of Mahlon Sweet Airport. <br /> i <br /> I~ <br /> 3. Pursuant to this authority, procedures were initiated for setting the amount of <br /> Passenger Facility Charges to assess enplaning passengers using Mahlon Sweet Airport. A <br /> Notice of Intended Charges was sent to interested persons. The Notice of Intended Charges <br /> ,was published as provided by law. <br /> 4. Comments and inquiries were received from scheduled passenger carriers. No <br /> ~ such carriers or other interested persons asserted that the proposed charge was excessive or <br /> ~ unreasonable. No request for a hearing was received. <br /> i <br /> 5. Under the Notice of Intended Charges, the PFC to be charged is $3.00 per <br /> enplaning passenger.
