I <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-95-tom IS <br /> of the <br /> Executive Director of the Public Works Department <br /> <br /> _ ERING THE CLOSURE OF WEST UNIVERSITY PARK <br /> The E tive Director of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene finds <br /> that: <br /> A. e tion 1.003 of the Park Rules, as amended by Administrative Order No. 58-95-07 <br /> on November , 1995 authorizes the temporary closure of parks and/or facilities when the public <br /> need to preser e he welfare and safety of residents in the vicinity of the park(s) outweighs the <br /> public's right f a cess to parks and/or facilities. <br /> B. h ~ West University Park on 14th Avenue between Hilyard and Patterson Streets <br /> has become a av n for illegal activities creating an atmosphere that is unfit and unsafe for use <br /> by residents o th area. <br /> C. h West University Neighbors Neighborhood Association, University West Small <br /> Business Ass 'at' n, and John Tantaglione of the West University Neighbors have requested that <br /> the park be cl a while the City and residents of the area explore options for the future use of <br /> the park to se e e residents and employees of the area. <br /> Now, t erliefore, based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, <br /> IT IS BY ORDERED THAT: <br /> 1. h West University Park on 14th Avenue.between Hilyard and Patterson Streets <br /> is hereby clos t entry by all persons other than police officers and authorized Ciry employees, <br /> effective 12:01. November 27, 1995.
