i.. <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-96-03-F <br /> of the <br /> City Manager of the City of Eugene <br /> Adoption of Vehicle Impoundment Notice and Hearing <br /> Procedures Administrative Rule R-5.695, and Repeal of <br /> Administrative Order No. 58-95-16 <br /> Purl t to the authority of Section 2.019 of the Eugene Code, 1971, I hereby adopt the <br /> following Ve cle Impoundment Notice and Hearing Procedures Administrative Rule R-5.695: <br /> <br /> r . <br /> Vehicle Lnpoundment Notice and Hearing <br /> Procedures Administrative Rule R-5.695 <br /> R-5.695-A <br /> These r gulations are authorized by Section 2.019, 5.695, 5.697, and 5.698 of the Eugene <br /> 'Code, 1971, are established to implement those provisions of Chapter 5 of the Eugene Code, <br /> 1971 that au rite or direct the impoundment of vehicles. Unless a different procedure is <br /> provided in a rovision of the Eugene Code, 1971, these procedures shall be followed when a <br /> 'vehicle is impo nded, or proposed to be impounded by the City. <br /> 'R-5.695-B n hi 1 n r <br /> 1. f the city proposes to impound a vehicle under Section 5.135 of the Eugene Code, <br /> 1971, which p ohibits the storage of a vehicle or personal property on a street or other public <br /> roperty fora eriod in excess of 24 hours, the City shall, before the proposed impoundment: <br /> Provide written notice thereof to the owners of the vehicle as shown on the <br /> records f the state Department of Transportation; and <br /> ' ) Provide an explanation of the procedures available for obtaining a hearing <br /> under S ction 5.698 of the Eugene Code, 1971, as set forth in R-5.695-D hereafter. <br /> 2. a notice required under Subsection 1 of this section shall be given by both of the <br /> ollowing meth ds` <br /> O By affixing a citation to the vehicle; and <br /> dministrative rder - 1 02/07/96 <br /> <br />
