When preparing the FY09 Capital
Budget increase Slurry Seals by $2,600 if this road is going to be included in next years project. Unless the settlement
states that we have to report on how the penalty was spent, the dollar amount is small enough that it could go into balance
available and be budgeted out in future years.
Tammy Smith, x5834
Froth: HIGGINS Teri L
Sjen~: Thursday, November O1, 2007 1:05 PM
Tp: ~ SMITH Tammy D
Cac: ~ CAHILL Michelle R; KLOPE Paul W; PERALES Ginger M
Sttb~ect: Alder Creek estates - 4419
Tammy -1h,~~~ the contractor for a smau.~k?EP! (At 19). They had some trouble with the top
lift of paving and the City has negotiated and settled fora penalty o, Theoretically, $2,600 of this should go to
PPP for us to do a slurry seal next summer, and the balance should go to maintenance for any future repairs that may be
necessary (15 years from now - so basically some slush fund?).
Wh'o do they make the check out to? Anything special I need to do?
Thanks!

~J
1
