<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />August 14, 2014 <br /> <br />CONTACT: Scott Gillespie, Project Manager, 541-682-2706 <br /> <br />From Public Information Section, 541-682-5523 or 541-954-2938 <br /> <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> <br /> <br />Delta Highway Lanes Closed Night of August 19 for Bridge Work <br />Construction of a new bridge over Delta Highway at Goodpasture Island Road will require <br />the closure of the southbound lanes of Delta Highway the night of Tuesday, August 19. <br />The southbound lanes of Delta Highway from Randy Pape’ Beltline Highway to the <br />Goodpasture Island Road off-ramp will be closed for one night, August 19, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., to <br />prepare for median construction. The Goodpasture Island Road southbound on-ramp will remain <br />open for vehicles turning from Goodpasture Island Road to southbound Delta Highway. The off- <br />ramp from eastbound Beltline to southbound Delta will be closed at Beltline, and traffic exiting <br />westbound Beltline at Delta will be required to turn right. <br />Northbound Delta Highway will remain open but drivers will be required to use the off- and <br />–on ramps at Goodpasture Island to portage around the construction zone. Lane restrictions and <br />flagging will be in effect. <br />Motorists should expect delays. Use alternate routes and surface streets if possible. <br />The new bridge has been under construction for several months and is expected to be <br />completed in November.
