GRABOFSKY Kevin C
From: ZUCKER Richard
Sent: Sunday, July 15, 2012 2:29 PM ,e `1 2 Z
To: OLSON Kris D; GRABOFSKY Kevin C •
Subject: Alder Street and East 32nd Avenue
I received a call from EPD Dispatch at 8:24 a.m. today (Sunday, July 15 with a report that a "One Way" sign was leaning
at the intersection of Alder Street and East 32 Avenue. I was not able to reach the site until 1:30 p.m. I did not find a
"One Way" sign at that intersection. (Nor does it seem to me that there should be one at that intersection.) However, I
did discover two things:
• The post of the "Do Not Enter" sign at the barricade on the south side of the intersection had been severed at
the base. The upper portion of the sign post is secured to the barricade with a bolt and was still standing upright
beside the stump of the sign post. In other words, the post and sign were still in place and secure. The
remaining post is, of course, shorter and the east end of the barricade is lower, i.e., closer to the pavement.
• There is no "No Right Turn" sign on the south side of East 32 Avenue just west of Alder Street to inform
eastbound traffic that turning south onto Alder Street is not permitted. (While I was on site, a car in the
eastbound lane of East 32 turned right and drove around the barricade onto Alder Street.)
li 4 L 0 LL
c4i9-z_uo/z.ti2_(,
l 9 C 2
c't 6 3 3 cz G t
P'32 ro
. f
-
1
