The event is free and open to the public between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. <br />All 300 students at River Road Elementary will be attending, and Mayor Piercy is <br />one of more than 50 tour guides who will help students and teachers navigate the many <br />displays and answer questions about the variety of services provided by Public Works. <br />Each year, the Eugene Public Works Department invites community members to the <br />event to learn more about public works services, which include managing wastewater and <br />stormwater, building and fixing streets, taking care of City parks and natural areas, and <br />running the Eugene Airport.
