There is a detection loop in the pave int of the bike lane (on Cubit St., leaving the WinCo area) <br /> that did not register my bike at all this morning (I have a longtail bike that c n usually trip the regular traffic signals). I tried visiting the <br /> maintenance requests area of your website to report this, but I had two pr • blems. One, the map input would not register an <br /> intersection ( "Cubit St. and Barger Drive "). Second, there was no option report a "Traffic Signal Maintenance Request" without calling <br /> your office during the week or calling 911 ( "If you are reporting a haza d that requires immediate attention, such as a traffic signal <br /> malfunction, please do not use this on -line request. Please call Pub Works Maintenance, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm at <br /> (541) 682 -4800, or call 9 -1 -1 outside normal business hours. "). Th is a hazard that is not an emergency, and I would like to <br /> recommend that it would be convenient to have a way to input r quests such as these through the website. I hope that the detection <br /> loop can be fixed soon. Having the traffic signal not register bi ycles at that location is a safety concern.
