Subject:" RE: Hi..Do You guys do the surface repairs in the alleys downtown?
Hi Bill,
Depends ... it's not always black and white. I'll need the specific locations. Am I on target thinking this
location is Oak Alley? Is it north or south of 10th Ave? Is the broken concrete at the same location? Just so
you know, street and alley surfaces are not considered pedestrian way and as such the definition of hazard is
different than ADA standards. I'll be happy to look at it if you can confirm I'm headed to the right place.
Thanks,
dj
From: HUNTER Bill W
Sent: Friday, August 24, 2012 6:02 AM
To: JOYNER Damon D
Cc: HUNTER Bill W; LANE Dave C
Subject: HLI)o You guys do the surface repairs in the alleys downtown?
Hi Damon, It was reported to one of the downtown crew by a citizen that what she thought might be a trip
hazard (Kind of a pot hole developing) in the alley on the West side of the Parcade parking structure
downtown. I had one of the custodians put a safety cone on it for now and was wondering who would make the
repair. There is also a piece of concrete broken off next to one of the storm drains in the middle of the alley that
could be considered a trip hazard as well. If you have any questions or information for me give me a call at
541 -228 -7017 Thanks, Bill Hunter
