<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />October 10, 2012 <br /> <br />CONTACT: <br />Lee Shoemaker, Bicycle & Pedestrian Coordinator, 541-682-5471 <br /> <br />From Public Information Section, 541-682-5523 or 541-954-2938 <br /> <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> <br /> <br />Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee Has Seven Openings <br />Applications are being accepted from Eugene residents who are interested in serving on <br />the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. <br />The committee represents community and constituent interests in transportation <br />planning decisions and provides feedback to staff on projects relating to walking and bicycling. <br />Committee members will play a vital role in implementing the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master <br />Plan that will shape the future of the pedestrian and bicycling system for the next 20 years and <br />make Eugene an even greater city for walking and biking. <br />Recruitment is under way to fill seven vacancies for one- or two-year terms. Applicants <br />must live within Eugene’s urban growth boundary and be willing to attend monthly meetings and <br />read background materials provided by city staff.
