Clarify any other aspects of the budget that might be useful in evaluating the application. ) <br /> CONTRACTUAL SERVICES <br /> Grant funded: <br /> The NW Youth Corps will provide a 12- person crew for 3 weeks to conduct the fence repair, manual <br /> weed removal, and woody species removal at the three sites. Hand treatment will occur from <br /> May -Sept, to control invasive species with early and late phenology. The BLM will oversee their work <br /> in the field. Requesting 55% of youth crew costs. <br /> The City Wetland Ecologist will supervise a 2- person seasonal seed crew for a period of 11 weeks. The <br /> seed crew will identify and collect native seeds, record data on collections, clean seed, conduct seed <br /> inventory, and mix seed for restoration and enhancement projects in the West Eugene Wetlands. <br /> Requesting labor costs for 2- seasonal seed crew for 11 weeks. <br /> Match: <br /> NYC will provide 45% of youth crew labor costs <br /> City will provide safety training, plant ID training, and orientation for the seed crew, GIS equipment as <br /> needed, and recordkeeping supplies. <br /> IN - HOUSE WORKFORCE <br /> Grant funded: <br /> The City Wetland Ecologist will hire the seed crew, coordinate with growers, manage grow -out <br /> contracts, coordinate purchase of seed, design seed mixes, coordinate with land owners who allow seed <br /> collection on their land, oversee seed cleaning, record - keeping, storage, and mixing, manage the plant <br /> materials inventory and database, oversee seed production and delivery from growers, and delivery of <br /> seed mixes to partners. Requesting 7.5 weeks of Wetland Ecologist salary and fringe. <br /> Match <br /> The BLM will oversee the NYC work at N & S Taylor and the Long Tom ACEC. The BLM will <br /> manage compliance with federal laws and regulations. <br /> The City will provide an additional 14 weeks of salary and fringe support for the Wetland Ecologist to <br /> perform the above mentioned duties. <br /> 8of <br />
