D. Substructure Installation (843) <br />(Includes, but is not limited to, any substructure work initiated by <br />EWEB that includes a conduit system installation.) <br />1. The EWEB Electric Distribution area technician will submit three <br />prints of the completed substructure design and two copies of the <br />"Street Light Construction Notice" to the City Engineer. <br />2. The City designer will mark two prints of the substructure design in <br />color showing street lighting substructure requirements and return <br />them to EWEB along with a signed copy of the "Street Light <br />Construction Notice." The City designer will show the desired <br />connection points to the EWEB system. The approximate billing, as <br />understood by the City Designer, shall be shown on the notice. This <br />copy of the construction notice shall constitute written <br />authorization. This notice and one copy of the City substructure <br />design shall be sent to the Distribution secretary for file. <br />3. The area technician will review the City design to ensure <br />compatibility with the electric distribution design. Design or <br />billing differences shall be resolved between the area technician and <br />the City designer. <br />4. When the approved project is issued to the EWEB construction forces, <br />i one print of the substructure design showing City street lighting <br />substructure requirements shall be included. <br />5. The EWEB construction department shall notify the City at least 48 <br />hours in advance of construction. <br />6. Unless agreed upon in advance, EWEB shall furnish all required street <br />light system substructure material. The cost of this material shall <br />be included in the final billing to the City. (See step 10.) <br />7. A listing of City personnel necessary for communication and <br />coordination with EWEB during construction shall be provided by the <br />City and kept updated. <br />8. Field changes necessary due to construction problems shall be <br />coordinated between the area technician and the City designer. <br />9. Upon completion of construction, the EWEB construction supervisor <br />shall submit the City substructure design print, showing any field <br />changes, to the Distribution secretary. <br />10. The Distribution secretary will complete the City substructure <br />installation billing on a unit cost basis. The Assistant Electric <br />Distribution Supervisor will check and approve the agency billing. <br />11. The Distribution secretary will file the print. <br />12. The Distribution secretary will send the computed City billing to the <br />billing clerk in Accounting. <br />-26- <br />07/01/83 <br />
