Citizens are asked to <br />report non-emergencies such as downed trees on public property to 541.682.6000. Please do not call <br />911 for these issues. Calling 911 overwhelms emergency communications centers and interferes with <br />life-threatening calls for service. <br />City of Eugene Public Works has declared a snow emergency and have snow plows and sanders out <br />working on the primary snow and ice routes, which can be located online at: www.eugene-or.gov/snow <br />City of Eugene Public Works staff is working closely with EWEB to address downed power lines <br />throughout the city and individuals without power are asked to contact EWEB at: 541.484.2300 for <br />information on current outages. <br />Since the snowstorm began crews have received reports of more than 100 trees down throughout and <br />will address them based on impact to public roads right of ways <br />If a tree is down on personal property residents should call a commercial tree removal company. If a <br />tree has fallen in a roadway or public right of way please utilize the public hotline number and be <br />prepared to provide as much detail about the blockage as possible including: exact location, entire tree, <br />or large branch, approximate diameter and the local impact of the blockage. <br /># # # <br />Page 1 <br />
